Vine Inn Charity Golf Day 2019 Raise $10,770

This year the Vine Inn charity golf day raised a record breaking $10,770.

The raising of these funds would not be possible without the local community and our sponsors participation and generosity. If you assisted us in any way through donations or by forking over your money on the day we offer a huge and heartfelt thank you.

This money will be going to help a number of organisations including the Nuriootpa High Social Justice fund, the CWA, the Independent Learning Centre in Nuriootpa and Youth Barossa.

The Social Justice Fund ensures 100% of funds goes directly to kids from genuinely disadvantaged families. The fund feeds kids when they arrive at school unfed, supplies warm clothes during winter, pays excursion fees as opposed to the kids being stuck in the library watching the bus leave with their peers onboard, supplies educational materials and a myriad of other direct benefits. There are NO admin or operations fees involved in this fund so the money goes exactly where it’s needed.

Some will go to the CWA for distribution to farming families for drought relief. While we understand the plight of those suffering from the current bushfires as we have been there, we know that there are still families doing it really tough in our regional areas, so we believed that this donation fits the criteria for ongoing support.

The Independent Learning Centre in Nuriootpa which assist a number of young people who are trying to re-kickstart their lives through independent education. While these young people are having a real go to get on with their lives, many have very limited resources and are going hungry so 100% the funds allocated here will be used to buy food for direct distribution.

Youth Barossa funds youth grants that go to disadvantage young people who need help with various areas including driving lessons for young people who are unable to afford a driving instructor prior to doing their driving tests. Also, they do a lot of work with homeless kids with kids from families affected by the scourge of hard drugs or are involved in domestic violence situations.

Again, thank you all for your support and we look forward to seeing you on Wednesday October 28th when you can expect our CEO Chris Linden to make every effort to purge your pockets again.
