Vine Inn Barossa wins at the 2014 Australian Hotels Association SA Awards for Excellence.

The Vine Inn Barossa won the award in the category of Community Service and Support at the 2014 Hotel Industry Awards for Excellence during the Gala Dinner held on Tuesday 29th July at the Adelaide Entertainment Centre.

With over 180 nominations across all categories from all over South Australia, competition was tight and the judges commented that there were many worthy winners.

This accolade was awarded due to the Vine Inn’s continued support provided to the local community including contribution to local sporting institutions, aiding disadvantaged families, educational assistance for children through to employment of local staff and contractors.

Highlighted during the awards evening were the recent Barossa bushfires where the Vine Inn contributed food, water and soft drink to 350 fire fighters and support staff and donated essential household items and accommodation to families in need.

“We’re extremely proud to receive such an award, but we are aware that we’re just the custodians. As a community owned establishment, we can only support the community as much as the community supports us. Fortunately, the Barossa community continues to support us so that we are able to give back. Without their continued support, we would not be able to afford to contribute to the number of worthwhile causes that we do – so this award really belongs to the Barossa community.” Chris Linden, General Manager, Vine Inn Barossa.

The Vine Inn Barossa will represent the Barossa at the National AHA Awards for Excellence to be held on Monday 15 September at Jupiter’s Casino, Gold Coast.
